New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson aggravated his hamstring injury and is looking at missing multiple weeks beyond the All-Star break, vice president of basketball operations David Griffin said Sunday.
Williamson, who has been out since suffering the injury in a game on Jan. 2, will be re-evaluated when the team returns from the All-Star break.
Griffin said the setback occurred on the court and that Williamson had progressed up to 3-on-3 work as he was working his way back.
Voted an All-Star starter this season, Williamson is averaging 26.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.6 assists while shooting 60.8% from the floor in 29 games.
